Born on March 29th, 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle is her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Her heritage is Mexican American however she has an American nation by birth. At a very young age the desire for her to be involved in sports was evident. Gerina took up golf when she turned 15 years old. Gerina attended Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she took home at the New Mexico state golf tournament. In addition, she was a volleyball player at the national level. In the year 2003 she was enrolled in the University of Texas. As a senior she was a winner of every tournament she entered. During undergraduate studies she won the titles as Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the year.
