Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. She plays for Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being selected by the Wings as the fifth-overall pick in the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was born February 2nd 1997, Milwaukee Wisconsin. Parents Yolanda Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her two older brothers. While studying at the school, she also played three seasons of varsity football. Ogunbowale led her school in a series of stunning wins with her extraordinary skills numerous times. Her high school experience was compiled with 73 starts with 1,477 career points and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale was a participant in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA World U17 Championships 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won Gold Medals. In July of 2014, she was selected to join the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her first year at the college. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for her large shots in the NCCA Tournament. While still relatively new she has earned herself the status of an outstanding basketball star and is sure to follow her dream.
